Description
The file ' highest diploma obtained on the basis of education registrations ' contains for all persons in the available educational registers (from the academic year 2006/& #039;07) the highest degree obtained in these educational registrations up to the level of 30 September of a given academic year. It thus gives the highest degree obtained over all types of education and over all (available) educational years. The component contains the training number associated with the diploma and the given whether this highest diploma is a starting qualification.

### Methodology
The specific training code is unknown (OPLNR = &-#039;---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------#039;). This is the case if the information on initial qualification is derived from data on pre-training available in higher education registers. The diploma &s in higher education in the month of September of the reference year will only be included in the file the following year, because the academic year for the diploma &s in higher education runs from 1 September to 30 August. This represents an average of 3 % of diplomas &s (around 3,000 diplomas & #039;s). For the other types of education, the academic year for the diploma data will run from 1 October to 30 September.
### Population
Each record contains for a (former) student the number of the programme where the diploma was obtained and the characteristic whether this highest diploma is a starting qualification.
