Description
The Access File Production Resources.mdb contains very good microdata on the production of electricity and heat and the energy carriers used for this purpose per power generating facility.

### Methodology
Companies with steam turbines, gas turbines and STEG units are fully observed, the other companies based on a sample. In the case of gas engines where there is no integral observation, it is increased on the basis of sample results and the total power output in this sector. The electricity production of the gas engines in greenhouse horticulture is determined on the basis of customer bases.
The observation of (heat) power plants takes place primarily via survey forms that can be completed digitally. In addition, installations of renewable sources of solar, wind and water are observed through the renewable energy statistics.
The reporters are companies and institutions established in the Netherlands where cogeneration plants and other means producing electricity have been installed and/or operated.
The sample size is approximately 300 business units.
In data processing, the efficiency is calculated per installation, which is the ratio of production to the use of energy. The absolute amount of energy produced shall be consistent with the capacity of the installation.
