Process data of sludge fermentation at public sewage treatment plants (from 01-01-1981)
Description
This database contains data on the digestion of sewage sludge per installation, at the public sewage treatment plants (rwzi &s). Fermentation of sludge is a process in which under oxygenless conditions the degradable constituents are converted by specific bacteria. In this process biogas is formed, which can be used for energy production. Due to the fermentation, the sludge becomes less rotatable and can then be processed better.

### Methodology
Integrated survey of water quality managers in the Netherlands. The survey will be conducted on behalf of a number of other bodies, including Rijkswaterstaat, RIVM and the cooperation in the context of the Emission Registration. Mainly electronic survey. Reporters are all 23 regional water quality managers (water and purification boards).These organisations manage about 340 rwzi &s.
