Quantities of sewage sludge from sewage treatment plants (from 01-01-1990)
Description
The sewage treatment process produces a residual product, the sewage sludge. This sludge is transported to a processing plant and burned or processed there, in some cases under own management. This table contains data on the quantities, compositions and processing/final destination of sludge for the 1990s to the present day.

### Methodology
Integrated survey of water quality managers in the Netherlands. The survey will be conducted on behalf of a number of other bodies, including Rijkswaterstaat, RIVM and the cooperation in the context of the Emission Registration. Mainly electronic survey. Reporters are all 23 regional water quality managers (water and purification boards).These organisations manage about 340 rwzi &s.
