Traffic performance of freight vehicles (01-01-2011 - 01-01-2015)
Description
Traffic performance in vehicle-kilometres of lorries and tractors per year with a Dutch registration number, broken down by vehicle characteristics and by territory. From the register of the National Autopas Foundation (NAP), the registration numbers of the total sample population are enriched with odometer readings and associated registration dates. Based on the differences between odometer readings of two consecutive level data, the kilometres travelled for the period between the level data were calculated. This calculates year kilometrages for all vehicles. These annual kilometrages are used to estimate, among other things, the traffic performance of trucks and tractors.

### Methodology
Secondary observation using the registers of the Road Traffic Service (RDW) and Nationale Auto Pas (NAP).
### Population
All lorries registered in the Netherlands and tractors with a valid Dutch registration number which, during (part of) the reporting year, are admitted to traffic on public roads, including lorries and tractors belonging to (part of) the company stock and truck#039;s and tractors operating only part of the year on the road network, mainly new or imported vehicles and vehicles that have been demolished or exported during the year.
