### Methodology
The data on aircraft movements are based on the so-called &Airport registers ' which the managers of the civil airports send to CBS on a monthly basis. The ground material of transport data is also provided to CBS by the managers of these airports and is extracted from travel documents; for passenger transport the 'flightcoupons ' and for freight transport the 'loadsheets '.
### Population
All civil aviation traffic at the following Dutch airports: Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Rotterdam The Hague Airport, Eindhoven Airport, Maastricht Aachen Airport and Groningen Airport Eelde.
