Changes in code, name or size of municipalities (from 01-01-2013)
Description
The Historical Municipal Register (HGR) contains changes in the codes and names of the Dutch municipalities for the period 1830 to the present day. This includes the start date (from 1830) and possibly the end date. Data on changes in the size and direction of the municipal territory are also included. The data refer to the number of inhabitants involved in the changes (available from 1936), land area (from 1949) and number of dwellings (from 1985 onwards). In case of changes in the surface, only the surface area of land and not the surface of the (outer) water is displayed. City name changes without border change are also listed separately.
