Indication for AWBZ care issued by the CIZ. (01-01-2009-01-01-2015)
Description
The INDICAWBZ component contains data on indications issued by the Centre for Indicational Care (CIZ). An indication of the CIZ gives access to care funded by the General Act on Special Medical Expenses (AWBZ). For the use of this file, permission is required from the data supplier. This permission can be obtained by sending an e-mail with the analysis plan or the quotation to the Centre for Policy Statistics: [mail address hidden – contact CBS]. The Centre for Policy Statistics will then contact the data supplier for arranging consent.

### Methodology
Since 1 January 2005, the CIZ determines which AWBZ care and how much care a person is entitled to.Indications issued before 2003 are missing and the indications issued in the period 2003 to 2005 are incomplete. Indications are in principle issued with a duration of 5 years. As a result, indications valid in 2009 may be missing because they were issued for 2005; 2010 is the first year in which this no longer plays.Youngs up to 18 years of age with mental and/or psychiatric problems are indicated not by the CIZ but by a Youth Care Agency. Persons who have been indicated by a Youth Care Agency before the age of 18 for AWBZ care on the basis of a psychiatric condition and receive youth assistance, if necessary, receive the indications of the Youth Care Agency until the age of 23.Clients under the age of 18 on a basis other than a psychiatric condition are indicated by the CIZ.
### Population
The population of this component consists of all valid indications issued by the CIZ for AWBZ funded care to persons registered in the DPA.
