Diagnosis of care episodes at the GP (01-01-2002-01-01-2012)
Description
This file contains diagnostic codes encoded according to the International Classification of Primary Care-1 (ICPC-1). These are diagnoses associated with care episodes by the GP. A care episode consists of one or more contacts with the GP for the same complaint or illness. Each record contains the diagnostic code of one care episode, people can have multiple care episodes in one year and thus occur several times in this file.For the use of this file, permission is required from the data provider. This permission can be obtained by sending an e-mail with the analysis plan or the quotation to the Centre for Policy Statistics: [mail address hidden – contact CBS]. The Centre for Policy Statistics will then contact the data supplier for arranging consent.

### Methodology
The data from this file is always used together with the data from the LINHclient file, which contains the data on all enrolled patients with the LINH general practitioners. The client file is linked to the GBA and in the client base there is also the high weight.
### Population
Care episodes of persons registered with a general practitioner practice that is part of the National Information Network for General Practitioners (LINH) in one calendar year. About 80 general practitioners are involved.
