Land resource map — AR250 — snaumark
Description
Map layer in the nationwide data set AR250 showing the lushness of the vegetation deck in the mountains and on open solid land in the lowlands. The data set is produced on a scale 1:250,000 and is adapted for use on scales from 1:100 000 to 1:250,000: 300 000. This is achieved by generalisation of AR5 below the three-limit and interpretation of satellite images above the three-limit. In addition, N50 has been used where there are no AR5 or satellite images. The vegetation deck’s lushness in the mountains is taken from satellite images. Open land in the lowlands covers a wide range of natural and cultural areas. Property to be used to produce the map layer is called ARVEGET. Shapes that are less than 100 acres do not appear on the map, but are merged with adjacent areas. Area in square meters is listed under AREA_C. The data set is updated once every three years with the last year’s version of FKB-AR5 (area resource map on a scale of 1:5000 in the database as of 31.12). The latest update has data from 31.12.2016. Data is downloaded as county or municipal files.
