Description
Dams controlled by the Safety Control Service for Hydraulic Works of the DREAL Pays de la Loire.
There are 3 classes of dams within the meaning of Decree 2015-526 of 12/05/2015 (h=work height in m, V= volume of retention in millions of m³):
— class A: h>20 m in relation to the natural terrain, and h^2 x V^0.5 > 1500
— class B: No A, h>10 m, and h^2 x V^0.5 >200
— class C: not A or B and h>5 m and h^2 x V^0.5>20, or h>2 m, V>0.05 and at least one dwelling downstream within 400 m of the structure
The other values entered in the classification attribute (not computable, out of class, D and classifiable to C) correspond to works not subject to the authorisation regime when they fall under the Water Act (unclassified works). Such works are not exhaustively listed.
