This dataset contains the registered archaeological research areas in the Netherlands and provides insight into the location, size and other relevant characteristics of these research areas. The dataset includes only completed studies. The data comes from the Archaeological Information System (ARCHIS) and is updated daily to ensure current events. This dataset provides a valuable overview for researchers, policy makers and other stakeholders involved in archaeological heritage in the Netherlands.
