Island forests and hedges of eastern Andalusia and hedges of the province of Cádiz
Description
Island forests are the result of fragmentation, and subsequent isolation, of former forest formations. The degradation of these forested habitats meant the fragmentation of them, with more or less significant losses of their original size. This work elaborated the detailed scale mapping (1:10,000) of the island forests and hedges of eastern Andalusia, as well as a characterization of them. Among the contents of the same are images of plans, databases and geographical information of the island forests, hedges and sampling points where vegetation transects were made in eastern Andalusia. It also incorporates the inventory of island forests and hedges of the provinces of Almería, Granada, Málaga and Jaén, as well as the hedges of the province of Cádiz. The photographs taken in the framework of the project have been incorporated into the Audiovisual Bank of the CMAOT.
