The theme includes sites protected by order of the Minister responsible at the time for the nature conservation/nature protection area. Today, the provision is contained in Section 51 of the Nature Conservation Act. It follows from that provision that the Order may be issued in respect of State-owned land, as well as in the territorial sea and fishing territory. These orders are administered by the Nature Agency and do not concern the area of responsibility of the conservation boards. Under previous versions of the nature conservation legislation, it was also possible to issue conservation orders for species or communities of plants or animals, as well as for geological formations – such orders can also be found in the layer. The objects in the theme link to a copy of that notice. It should be noted that the geographical information (polygons) is of variable quality and indicative in nature.
