2011 Census Sections

Description

The computerised Census Sections are, since 1991, the tool that responds to the need of municipalities to prepare their own topographic plans for carrying out general censuses Each census section has been coded with a unique numerical code within each municipality This dataset contains the sections validated by Istat for the first phase of the 2011 census - The reference scale cannot be certified uniformly by Istat, as the acquisition bases used, mainly aerial photos and other cartography, come from different sources and scales that vary between urban and extra-urban areas. The value reported in the metadata element "Equivalent scale" is therefore purely indicative. The original data were associated with a series of attrubuti that define the main variables detected during the census.
