Description

Table CENTROIDI_TOPONIMI: it contains the geographical coordinates of the centroids related to the toponyms (street, avenues, squares...) of the Municipality of Milan. Attributes: Code_VIA (code attributed to the place name), COMPLETE NUMBER (0 for all centroids), STATOCIVICO (8 via_centroide, 89 via_centroid suppressed), X_COORD (coordinated x in Gauss-Boaga EPSG 3003), Y_COORD (coordinated y in Gauss-Boaga EPSG 3003), X_COORD_WGS84 (coordinated x in WGS84 UTM 32N EPSG 32632), Y_COORD_WGS84 (coordinated y in WGS84 UTM 32N EPSG 32632), X_COORD_WMERCATOR (coordinated x in the Mercator Web System EPSG 3857), Y_COORD_WMERCATOR (coordinated y in the Web Mercator EPSG 3857), DATA_MODFINE, IDMASTER (unique identifier of the data), X_COORD_WGS84LL (coordinated geographical x in decimal degrees in WGS84 EPSG 4326), Y_COORD_WGS84LL (coordinated geographical y in decimal degrees in WGS84 EPSG 4326), LEVEL (-1 below, 0 to satin, 1 above). Table TOPONIMI_VIARIO: list of toponyms (DUF official town planning name). Attributes: CODE_VIA (code attributed to the place name), STATE (2 active, 3 deleted), TYPE (value of the DUG as listed in the relevant table available in the download), DENOMINATION (technical name of the place name), DATA_INTITOLATION, YEAR_SUPPRESSION, LAST_MODIPHIC, DESCRIPTIVE (common name of place name), ANNCSU (registration of the name in the ANNCSU database), OPENSTREETMAP (registration of the name in the OPENSTREETMAP database), PROGANNCSU (toponym registration number in the ANNCSU database). Table TYPE_VIA: list of DUG codes, i.e. the generic town planning name. Table STATO_VIA: toponym condition (2 active, 3 suppressed). TABELLA_LIVELLO: indication of the level relative to the road plane of the centroid relative to the place name (-1 lower, 0 at satin, 1 raised). The compressed folder also contains an explanatory document on the correct use of data. The database can be used for geographical representations and analyses; it can be used to view, query, and produce cartography or as an element to perform mapping overlay operations with other geographic databases. This dataset is intended for reference and mapping purpose, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data.
