Topographic database 1:50.000
Description
The database 1:50.000 (top50-v) is a synthesis of the database 1:10.000. It is the result of a generalization, i.e. selecting, moving, merging and so on certain map elements. The geometric objects used are points, lines and planes to which a code is assigned. These codes can take 220 different values. Each code is assigned one or more attributes. Some data is assigned a number of additional attributes. The data itself are divided into ten layers, which are topologically structured. The emphasis is mainly on the network of communication (roads, hydrography, railways). As far as roads are concerned, this means that they are almost completely included. The other layers contain information about vegetation, special buildings (schools, hospitals...), administrative boundaries and so on. The ordinary buildings are included in grid.
