Description
The normalized digital surface model (nDOM) is a derived product of the difference between the digital surface model (DOM) and the digital terrain model (DTM) of the LiDAR flight from April 5, 2014, which contain high-precision altitude information on the Earth's surface (dot grid with resolution 0.5m). The data was collected using the Airborne Laser Scanning (LiDAR) method. The LiDAR aerial flight of 25.07.2014 took place during the leafy growing season (which favoured a very strong reflection of the laser beams in the wooded areas), while the LiDAR aerial flight of 05.04.2014 took place during the unleavened growing season. For this reason, the derived DOM of 25.07.2014 depicts the surface (earth surface with vegetation and buildings) better than the DOM of the LiDAR aerial flight of 05.04.2014.
