Habitat assessment for the porridge in Gstatterbodener Kessel as a basis for visitor management in the Gesäuse National Park

In order to integrate Tetrao urogallus’ high habitat requirements into future conservation measures in the Gesäuse National Park, a habitat assessment was carried out on an area of approximately 450 hectares in the Gstatterboden boiler. This model makes it possible to show the spatial distribution of better and poorly suitable areas within an area and to determine the overall suitability of the area for chickens.
