Historical map Baselland (1848)
Description
The dataset contains a map sheet of the historical cantonal map of Baselland on a scale of 1:50,000. The excavation ranges from the Rhine to the Aare and contains large areas of the canton of Aargau. Unfortunately, very little is known about the origin of the original map. The card is two-colored and appears very gloomy. No contour lines but hatchings were applied. A distinction between cultivated land and forest areas is very difficult. The original map was scanned and georeferenced by the AGIS Coordination.
