FVA F3 Project Forestry Structure Data
Description
The “Forest Structure Data” contains the following grid data sets for selected project areas in Baden-Württemberg: digital Surface Model (DOM; 1 x 1 m), normalised digital surface model (nDOM; 1 x 1 m), forest height structure map (5 x 5 m), shielding (25 x 25 m), canopy roughness (as percentile distance and standard deviation; 20 x 20 m, 50 x 50 m, 100 x 100 m), loose althwoods (20 x 20 m), forest type (open and closed stocks and stock gaps); 1 x 1 m), wood supply (20 x 20 m) and above ground biomass (20 x 20 m).
These data sets were created within the framework of the joint project F³ – “Spatial sensing remote sensing-based forest structural data”. The partners of this project were the Forstliche Experiments- und Forschungsanstalt Baden-Württemberg (FVA) and the Northwest German Forestry Experimental Institute (NW-FVA). The F³ project was funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). Funding code: 22025014 (FVA), 22024816 (NW-FVA).
