Noise exposure caused by shipping in 2007
Description
The material is an estimate of the noise exposure caused by ship and boat traffic to the marine environment, produced with the help of spatial data modelling. Only existing spatial data sets have been used to produce it, and field verification has not been carried out. The results obtained are classified as reasonable in categories 1 (low noise exposure) to 5 (high noise exposure). The material was produced by Metsähallitus (2007) and compiled in connection with the Interreg IIIB-funded BALANCE project.
