Espoo’s 3D buildings

3D buildings in Espoo with a precision level of LOD1, i.e. box-type. The dataset can be downloaded by statistical area.

Attributes:

— number of floors: number of Storeys

— address: address
— building code: building identifier
— location: location
— date of completion: completion date

The coordinate reference system of the dataset is ETRS-GK25 and the vertical coordinate reference system N2000. The origin of the data is at the local coordinates x = 6677000, y = 25480000.

The file format of the dataset is SKP, i.e. SketchUp. For example, the SketchUp program is required to view and process downloaded dataset.

To download data, select the dataset by ticking it in the map layer menu on the left side of the Map Service (under “Open data”) and then clicking on the map window and the “Additional information” link in the speech bubble. The boundaries of statistical areas are displayed in the map window when a sufficiently large area is displayed. The up-to-dateness of the downloaded dataset is indicated in the speech bubble.
