Energy input data and scenarios
Description
As a basis for the discussion on national climate protection policy and for fulfilling the reporting obligation within the framework of the Monitoring Mechanism, the Federal Environment Agency calculated GHG emission scenarios up to 2030 on the basis of basic energy data: The WEM scenario only contains measures that have already been implemented, the WAM scenario also includes measures under discussion, for example from the Energy Strategy or the negotiating groups on the Climate Protection Act. Only in the WAM scenario will the national targets (1,100 PJ of final energy consumption; 34% share of renewable energy sources; -16% GHG) for 2020. In addition to the main scenarios (average economic growth of 1.5% p.a.), sensitivity scenarios were calculated at 2.5% p.a. and 0.8% p.a. respectively and adjusted energy prices.
