Energy Space Plans (Climate Protection Areas) Vienna

The Energy Space Plans are regulations of the City of Vienna. This defines district-by-district climate protection areas.
The data set refers to the already decided and legally valid climate protection areas as a whole. No legal claim can be derived from this data.

In a climate protection area, only the following highly efficient alternative systems are permitted for heating and water heating systems in new buildings.

1. Decentralised energy supply systems based on energy from renewable sources;
2. Combined heat and power,
3. District/near heating or district/near cooling, in particular where it is based in whole or in part on energy from renewable sources or comes from highly efficient cogeneration plants; and
4. Heat pumps.
