Description

Node of the Andalusian Environmental Information Network. Regional Government of Andalusia. WMS service corresponding to the differences of the images of NDVI and NBR of the Sentinel 2A images of June 1 and July 1, 2017, at 10 m resolution, in the field of the Las Peñuelas fire, Moguer (Huelva). The Sentinel 2A satellite is part of the European Union's Copernicus programme with a resolution of 10, 20, 60 m and 13 spectral bands. In the difference image of the Normalized Vegetation Index (NDVI) determined from the difference of the NDVI images obtained for a date before and after the fire, an abrupt decrease of NDVI is shown (due to the disappearance of vegetation) being able to discriminate areas that have experienced sudden changes, from other areas without apparent changes. The index RBR (Relativized Burn Ratio) (Parks et al, 2014) is calculated with the images Sentinel pre-fire (01/06/2017) and post-fire (01/07/2017), dates very close to each other, minimizing in this way the changes in the phenology of the vegetation that could affect this index. The levels of affectation are calibrated through the use of data collected in a field sample (56 plots in total). Node of the Andalusian Environmental Information Network.
