Protected Landscape Areas (LSG) - Landkreis Meißen
Description
Landscape conservation areas are areas defined by statutory order in which special protection of nature and landscape is required for the preservation, development or restoration of the performance and functionality of the natural balance or the regenerative capacity and sustainable usability of the natural goods, because of the diversity, character and beauty or the special cultural-historical significance of the landscape or because of its special importance for recreation. In the protected landscape area, the compatibility of the careful use by humans with the preservation and development of the cultural landscape, its species and habitats is in the foreground. This includes land uses such as agriculture, forestry and fishing, but also tourism. Section 26 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG)
