EasyGSH-DB: Subject area – Geomorphology
Description
The subject area Geomorphology of EasyGSH-DB (creation of application-oriented synoptic reference data on geomorphology, sedimentology and hydrodynamics in the German Bay) is part of the referenceable, continuously prepared basic dataset for the German Bay. All geomorphology products are listed and referenced under this metadata set.

Data generation:
The basis for bathymetric products are gridded bathymetric models, which are created using the functional soil model, a data-based hindcast simulation model, using spatial-temporal interpolation methods from a database of sea and land surveys of various types of data. For each year from 1996 to 2016 a gridded bathymetric model in 10 m resolution for the German Bay and an additional 250 m resolution for the Exclusive Economic Zone for 1996 is created. The products are provided in GeoTiff and Shapefile format.
