Environmental vision - Wind energy possible
Description
In these areas, the province sees no obstacles to the development of wind energy in advance. In consultation with regions and municipalities, locations can be determined that can be added to the locations with agreements about wind. The province sees these areas as the most promising for this. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial Council on 19 December 2018.
The map layers of wind energy from the environmental vision are a technical approach with which possibilities and limitations for wind energy have been mapped. After going through a participatory process and administrative coordination, search areas for wind energy have been included in the first version of the Regional Energy Strategies (RES1.0, 2021).
The information about wind in the environmental vision has now been overtaken by the RES.
