Groundwater protection areas (Environmental Regulation)
Description
This stock contains groundwater protection areas as laid down in the Environmental Ordinance of the Province of Groningen. In this Environmental Regulation we have included rules for this. Around the drinking water extractions (Onnen-De Punt, Sellingen, Bellingwolde) there are groundwater protection areas. Activities that may deteriorate the quality of groundwater are prohibited here. The same applies to the area and the banks along the Drentsche Aa around and upstream from the intake point (just across the border in the province of Drenthe) of the drinking water abstraction in the Drentsche Aa.Grondwater protection areas consist of three separate, separate elements: — Groundwater protection zones- Drinking water areas- Areas with a prohibition of physical soil degradation
