Protection profiles according to Common Criteria (CC) for IT products
Description
Protection profiles lay down generic requirements for a product category. They are initially independent of implementation, but can be tailored to a specific evaluation subject (EVG) by the security requirements that can be derived from them. Functionality and trustworthiness requirements are summarised in protection profiles and fully cover a certain set of safety targets. By writing protective profiles, the BSI can therefore set minimum standards for certain product groups.
