Description
HistoriskAtlas.dk is a digital atlas with place-based dissemination of local and national history in text, sound and images. The stories can be connected in walking, cycling or car trips. The purpose of the routes is to share your knowledge of the local cultural history, thereby helping to raise awareness of the local history and motivating other history enthusiasts to come out and experience the history – where it took place.
HistoricalAtlas.dk contains historical and contemporary maps, stories about historical sites as well as events, pictures, administrative boundaries through time and much more. Everyone can see maps and read stories, free of charge and without the requirement of membership. Certain parts of the material are subject to copyright, which limits the ability to redistribute it.
