Municipal borders in North Holland
Description
Cadastral borders of North Holland municipalities, clipped on inland waterways. In 2016, the municipalities of Bussum, Naarden and Muiden merged into the new municipality of Gooise Meren and municipalities of Edam-Volendam & Edam-Volendam in the province of Noord-Holland. Zeevang have merged into Edam-Volendam-Zeevang. A border correction was also carried out between the newly formed municipality and the municipality of Weesp. in 2019, municipalities Haarlemmermeer and Haarlemmerliede e.o. merged. As of 1 January 2022, the municipalities of Heerhugowaard and Langedijk have merged into the municipality of Dijk and Waard and the municipality of Beemster has been merged with Purmerend. As of 24 March 2022, the municipality of Weesp will be merged with the municipality of Amsterdam.
