Quartair isopachen Quartairgeological Profile type mapping (1/50.000)
Description
The isopachian map of the quaternary deposits is part of the Quaternary Map of Flanders. Isopaches are lines of equal thickness of the quaternary deposits. The thickness lines form an overlay of the litho profile type chart. The systematic mapping of the Quaternary geological layer on a scale of 1:50000 in Flanders, commissioned by the Flemish Region, was started in 1993. This map is a compilation of the isopachen maps of the different individual maps per map sheet. Dune lines and fault lines are also included in this isopachen map because they show a relationship with the isopachen lines.
