Description

As a member state of the EU, Sweden is covered by the Noise Directive (2002/49/EC) and must carry out strategic mappings of noise from major roads, railways, airports and industries, as well as municipalities with more than 100 000 inhabitants every five years. The mapping shall be carried out using an EU-wide methodology. The calculation method to be used is Cnossos-EU, Common Noise Assessment Methods in Europe.
