Description
In Spain, oil and gas deposits have been discovered in various fields on land and sea since 1964. In Andalusia there are two areas, at the mouth of the Guadalquivir, in the Gulf of Cadiz and along the Costa del Sol, where prospecting work is expected to be carried out for the research and search for new deposits. To this end, the competent Ministry makes specific concessions to oil companies restricted to specific areas whose limits are published in the Official State Gazette. From the published coordinates of the limits of these areas (in all the Spanish coast and since 2008), these have been mapped, giving rise to the information referred to in this metadata.
