LAPRO2009_Climate_Soil_groundwater — LAPRO2009 — Open keeping of important cold air runways
Description
The Map Service (WMS Group) presents the spatial data from the Saarland landscape program the theme map Climate-Soil Groundwater.: Cold air runways are, due to their width and low soil roughness, guideways for regional ventilation. The ventilation correlates with large-scale air flows and only becomes effective if the superordinate main wind direction runs parallel to the ventilation paths. Depending on the dimensions of the transported air masses, these are main ventilation pathways (larger valleys), secondary or subordinate ventilation pathways. In the landscape program, the most important cold air runways are presented with the order to keep them open. see Saarland Landscape Programme, Chapter 3.2
