Description
Wallhecken (also Knicke, Knicke, Knicks, Öwer or Över) is a term for wood-covered, often artificially erected earth, stone or peat walls in Central Europe. As a border marking and enclosure, they are widely used landscape-shaping elements of the cultural landscape. The average height of a wall is about one metre, the average width of a wall is about two meters.
