Satakunta roads in the early 20th century Senate Map

Description

The road data was digitised in 2016 as part of the Satakunta Federation’s “Satakuntatiestö 100 years ago” project. The project positioned the maps of the Senate Atlas of the late 19th and early 20th century from the Satakunta region and the newspaper institute of the 1920s and 1930s. The map data was positioned on the current basic map by chart sheet by using positioning points, after which a vector level was created based on the data from the maps and written sources by drawing a line describing the old road line in the location indicated by the map. The recommended scale of the data is 1:20 0000-1:100 000.
