Jvgdata Tracks Up/Down/Simple
Description
In the track network there are single, double and multi-tracks. Inside operational sites, there are several parallel tracks for passenger exchange, loading and unloading, meetings, switching and setting up track vehicles. Inside operational and line sites with main tracks and sidings, the tracks are referred to as a track number that can be either numerical or alphanumeric. On the line between operational sites only main tracks exist. They are called UNE tracks, with E for single track, U (track) and N (downtrack) for double tracks.
Uppspår (U;usp) is the left track of double track for trains with even train numbers, i.e. usually trains with the target norther than the exit station. The track is mainly used for up-(=north)-going traffic.
Downtrack (N;nsp) is the left track of double track for trains with odd train numbers, i.e. usually trains with the target souther than the exit station. The downtrack is mainly used for the “down-south” traffic.
Single track (E;esp) is a stretch with only one main track on the line between two adjacent operating sites. Capacity depends on the location of the train meetings (meeting stations) and the speed of operation of the trains and the operation of the signalling system.
More tracks. In the case of several tracks, each track is given its own name using U or N and a serial number. At really large locations, e.g. Stockholm Central, an additional letter may be needed, e.g. U1S. .
The data product has stretch distribution and connects to the network with reference from node to node with distance in meters to both the starting and end positions of the route in the direction of the track link.
Related Objects
• The product should be comprehensive on the Classification type Track Head/side with value Normal head track. The task is really only relevant on a route, but in order to be comprehensive in the database, registration must also take place on the normal main tracks at the traffic points.
