Description
INSPIRE Record of lynx records in Baden-Württemberg. The map shows the occupied cells of the last completed monitoring year (the monitoring year starts on 01.05 and ends on 30.04 of the following year, the closing usually takes place in December of the following year).
The first reliable detection of a lynx in Baden-Württemberg was in 2000. The filled 10 x 10 km grid cells were marked as "occupied" according to the monitoring standards of the BfN (either 1x C1 or 2x C2 according to SCALP criteria) and always refer to the monitoring year, which begins on 01.05 and ends on 30.04 of the following year. C1 evidence includes lynx found dead, photographic or video documentation, captured animals and genetic evidence. Telemetry data evaluated in accordance with the BfN monitoring standards can also be counted as C1 evidence. C2 is evidence that has been checked by experienced persons, such as cracks in farm and wild animals or traces. For reasons of sensitivity of the animals as well as due to the large ranges, the evidence is published only with a resolution of 10 x 10 km. The evidence comes from the FVA and is based on both own investigations and reports from external persons.
