Drain regulation potential (VBK50)
Description
Based on the data from the preliminary soil map of Saxony-Anhalt, the evaluation for the data level drain regulation potential is carried out. The soil water balance value according to KARL (2001) is a parameter that reflects the drain regulation potential of the soil. It describes the soil’s ability to absorb, store, and release rain to waters.

BWH: Soil water balance value. Value field with regard to outflow regulation potential. The value field ranges from 0.02 to 1.32.
BWH_K: Soil water balance value. Classification with regard to outflow regulation potential.
Class 1: very low. BWh 0.02 – 0.26 points.
Class 2: low. BWh 0.27 – 0.48 points.
Class 3: the means. BWh 0.49 – 0.69 points.
Class 4: up. BWh 0.70 – 0.90 points.
Class 5: very high. BWh more than 0.90 points.
