Vegetation Index (NDVI) of Andalusia. Seasonal Average, 2011 (NOAA AVHRR)
Description
Seasonal average of NDVI calculated from NOAA satellite images captured by the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) sensor. The AVHRR sensor collects information in 5 spectral bands: visible, near-infrared and 3 in thermal infrared, all with a resolution of 1000 m. The 2011 seasonal average of NDVI is calculated from the monthly averages, grouping December 2010, January and February 2011 in winter; March, April and May 2011 in spring; June, July and August 2011 in summer; September, October and November 2011 in autumn.
