Description
For all fixed points, in addition to the coordinates in the system of the Austrian National Survey (use system of the Military Geographical Institute = MGI), the coordinates in the globally stored international European system ETRS89 are successively determined in several stages of realization of different accuracy.
The approximately 59,000 triangulation points (TP) form a three-dimensional point network throughout Austria with an average distance of about 1.5 km. About 270,000 switch-on points (EP) with an average distance of 500 m were derived from these TPs.
