Data on Pirkanmaa Wood Terminals 2014
Description
The data includes data from the Pirkanmaa Wood Terminals study on areas suitable for terminal use of material and energy wood. The study was prepared in cooperation with the Pirkanmaa Regional Council and the Regional Unit of the Finnish Forest Centre in Pirkanmaa. The study is one of Pirkanmaa’s regional plan 2040 – background studies aimed at meeting the logistical needs of material and energy wood by reserving enough large areas of land suitable for terminal operations.

Name: Names of objects
Rating: Regional timber terminal or energy wood terminal, local wood terminal
Ownership: Information on ownership of the land (private, municipality or state)
NYK_function: Current land use in the area
Outfits: Distance from nearest settlement in metres
Remote_mets: Distance from the nearest forest in meters
Ymp_maank: Land use in the surrounding area
Overownership: Land ownership in the surrounding area.
Limitations: Additional information on environmental risks or other constraints on the site
Transport links: Additional information on traffic arrangements in the region
