REDIAM. WMS HIC 91E0 Alluvial forests of Alnus glutinosa and Fraxinus excelsior (Alno-Padion, Alnion incanae, Salicion albae)

Description

WMS service corresponding to Habitat of Priority Community Interest 91E0 characterized by arboreal and arborescent alluvial forests of generally high and medium courses with high soil and atmospheric humidity, dominated or co-dominated by alders (Alnus glutinosa) and, in a timely manner, hazelnuts (Corylus avellana) or black poplars (Populus nigra). Populus nigra poplars in Andalusia do not appear to be of natural origin, according to the study by LARA et al. (2004), where only the poplars of the Pyrenean tributaries of the Ebro River are considered natural. However, it is proposed to study the inclusion in the HIC of highly naturalized formations and an important entity, as is the case of the Múrtiga River poplars in the Sierra de Aracena (Huelva). As regards Nevadan birch trees (Salici capreae-Betuletum fontqueri), as discussed in the text corresponding to HIC 9180, it is considered that they may be more characteristic of HIC 9180 than of HIC 91E0 due to their ecological characteristics. Finally, hazelnuts would only be included in this habitat in the case of riparian formations, considering the hillside communities belonging to a subgroup of HIC 9240. . Node of the Andalusian Environmental Information Network. Regional Government of Andalusia. Integrated in the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Cartographic System of Andalusia.
