The data product consists of phenomena of the type “Construction Area” that belong to the product group NVDB and the product subgroup Traffic Regulation Types in NVDB.
The data product is connected to the Swedish road network.
The purpose of the data product is to show where the densely built area begins and ends.
Urban areas can be used to apply certain traffic rules, such as speed regulation. In densely populated areas, there may be more people outside these areas, so the delimitation can be a signal that special consideration should be taken in these areas.
The data product is derived from existing traffic rules and is used to show on which road distances the municipality can decide on local traffic regulations and to show for which road distances the general speed limit is 50 km/h.
