ECOICOP

Description

ECOICOP (European Classification of Uses of Individual Consumption) Description: The ECOICOP is the European version of UN-COICOP. To allow for greater detail, another hierarchical level was introduced to the subclass. However, COICOP and ECOICOP are completely identical up to the level of the 4 plates. COICOP is the classification of the uses of individual consumption and belongs to the system of national accounts. The functional classifications are mainly used to represent certain (expenditure) flows according to the associated purpose (purpose). However, they are not only relevant for national accounts, but COICOP is also used in international economic comparisons, consumer price index and budget surveys. Relationship with other classifications: CPC, COICOP, COPNI, COFOG
