Divergence-convergence index
Description
The divergence-convergence index is a relief parameter for determining the local, cell-related outflow ratios. Convergent cells (value range < 0) are areas in which the runoff flows together (e.g. narrow valley incisions), divergent areas (value range > 0) suggest a distribution of the water (e.g. mountain ridges). Values around 0 stand for parallel drainage conditions.
