Background values of the topsoil (BÜK200)
Description
The data series includes the background values 50. Percentile (median) or 90th. Percentile of the analysed elements for the topsoil in analysis of the data from the overview of the soils of Saxony-Anhalt in a scale of 1:200.000.
withheld background values of the elements: Antimony (Sb), arsenic (As), barium (Ba), beryllium (Be), lead (Pb), boron (B), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), cobalt (Co), copper (Cu), lithium (Li), manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni), mercury (Pb), selenium (Se), strontium (Sr), tellurium (Tl), uranium (U), vanadium (V), zinc (Zn), tin (Sn).
Background value: Background values are representative, statistically derived values for commonly used background contents of a substance or group of substances in soils.
Background content: (Pollutant) content of a soil consisting of the geogenous (natural) base content of a soil and the ubiquitous distribution of substances as a result of diffuse inputs into the soil (BBodSchV, 1999).
Spatial basis:
Legend units form the contour basis for the regionalisation of the values derived for the individual substrates for the horizon/layer reference.
50.
Percentile/median:
50 % of the values are below and 50 % of the values are above this value for the respective element.
90.
Percentile:
90 % of the values are below and 10 % of the values are above this value for the respective element.
Legend formation takes place in 5 classes, which were derived from the distribution of values based on the BBodSchV (1999).
In addition to the legend fields, the dataset contains other fields with information on the substrate reference that served as indicators of the calculation.
